If most Disney villains leave us at the end of the films, some escape this sad fate. Justfocus invites you to come back to the 10 antagonists who have not passed from life to death. Disney has always been able to show originality for the various deaths of its villains. A huge rock on the nose for the witch in Snow White, a harpoon blow for Ursula in The Little Mermaid, a fatal fall for Gaston in Beauty and the Beast and Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, a hanging for Clayton in Tarzan or Scar as the main course of hyenas in The Lion King… In Disney cartoons, most villains pay for their crimes by getting killed at the end. Still, some of them have managed to pull out of the game – although their fate is not enviable. From Hook to Jafar via Cruella, a look back at the 10 villains survivors of Disney films.
1. Captain Hook in Peter Pan
While we do not see him again in Peter Pan 2 (released in theaters 50 years after the first part), we wonder if Captain Hook has the form. It is true that he still fell from the top of his ship following a merciless duel against his worst enemy. The fearsome pirate even found himself making the big gap between the jaws of the crocodile that had already eaten his hand. The reptile seemed determined to finish his meal.
2. Medusa in The Adventures of Bernard and Bianca
Even though Medusa failed to put her claws on the Devil's Eye (eventually recovered by little Penny) and even though her boat boat completely disappeared into the waters of the swamp, the despicable Medusa managed to survive the end of The Adventures of Bernard and Bianca. Nevertheless, he is advised not to let go of the chimney of his wreck so as not to delight his two hungry crocodiles.
3. Prince John in Robin Hood
Ruined, stripped, humiliated but still alive, the fearful lion pretending pitifully over Nottingham in the absence of King Richard does not finish with dignity. As a reminder, Robin Hood and his acolytes stole all his treasure before fleeing. Seeing that a fire has broken out in the grounds of his castle, he miserably pursues his advisor whistling while sucking his thumb! Once the true sovereign returned from the Crusades, Prince John was condemned, along with all his underlings, to break stones. Trisssste sssort…
4. Shere Khan in The Jungle Book
To get rid of a man-eating tiger like Shere Khan, here are Mowgli's tips: get a flaming tree branch that you will attach to the tail of a beast with a double knot. As soon as he understands what trouble he is in, the beast will immediately leave through the savannah. We note that this ending is rather ridiculous for this villain Disney who did not lack panache. But what is certain is that he will not have stolen it!
5. Amos Slade in Rox and Rouky
Cantankerous and devoid of mercy, this grumpy farmer will have tried everything to turn the fox Rox into a bed descent. But compared to the other villains, we can say that Aros knows a relatively peaceful end. Indeed, after breaking his leg because of a bear trap, he finds himself taking care of his neighbor. The least we can say is that the widow Tartine is not resentful. And then, who knows? Over time, a small flame may end up lighting between the two singles…
6. Lady Tremaine in Cinderella
Following the dismal failure of her Machiavellian plan, Cinderella's mother-in-law is punished for her actions. Rest assured, she will not know the same fatal endings as these girlfriends Maleficent or the Evil Queen. But, admit that nothing beats Lady Tremaine's distraught look when she watches Cinderella's foot fit perfectly into the glass slipper.
7. Edgar in The Aristocats
Let it be said: the end of this Disney villain is the most humiliating of all! Small reminder: Edgar, the greedy butler who had tried to kidnap the Aristocats to get his hands on the inheritance of Madame de Bonne-Famille. And even if he stays alive, he literally ends up mailed in a trunk to Timbuktu in Mali. This fate, he initially intended to reserve it for the felines of his boss but he turned against him. It's the watered sprinkler!
8. Cruella in the 101 Dalmatians
Cruella was hoping to get a new doggie skin coat. Instead, she ends up in a snowy ravine with, at her side, her two stupid underlings, in the middle of the debris of her luxurious car destroyed like Bourvil's in Le Corniaud. However, we can consider that Cruella is doing quite well in view of the horrible intentions she harbored with regard to the 101 Dalmatians.
9. Madame Mim in Merlin the Enchanter
In bed, with a little flu! This is the sad fate reaped by Madame Mim, the wicked witch who wanted to provoke Merlin the enchanter into a duel. Smarter than her, the magician opted for an ultimate transformation: into a microbe. That's enough to give poor Madame Mim beautiful pimples and horse fever.
10. Jafar in Aladdin
In the form of a genius and endowed with "phenomenal cosmic powers", Jafar is also "delivered with all the accessories". Unfortunately for him, he is condemned to turn inside a magic lamp like his predecessor. At that moment, the Grand Vizier took his ticket without return for a stay of 10 millennia in the Cave of Wonders. But let the fans be reassured. He will eventually get out of it much earlier in the direct-to-dvd The Return of Jafar.
