Nine years after the release of the first film, Neuilly his mother (finally) offers himself a sequel. The cult comedy returns in August with its original cast, still led by actors Samy Seghir and Jérémy Denisty. Discover the trailer of this second opus soberly entitled Neuilly his mother, his mother.
The cult comedy is back on August 8. Almost ten years after the first film, released in theaters in August 2009, the adventures of Chazelle's family resume again so as not to displease the many fans. Nine years ago, they were 2.5 million to have rushed to the cinemas, making Neuilly his mother one of the biggest cinematographic successes of the year 2009 in France. Still directed by Gabriel Julien-Laferrière, also known for his comedies SMS and C'est quoi cette famille?, the second opus promises to be as funny as the first, taking up the recipe for its success: the confrontation and cultural opposition of a family embodied by the two teenagers Sami Benboudaoud and his cousin Charles de Chazelle.
The trailer of Neuilly his mother, his mother finally unveiled
If filming began in October 2017, the first trailer has just been unveiled on June 22. To refresh your memory, remember that Neuilly his mother tells the story of Sami, a young teenager from the suburbs living with his friends in the city of Châlon. He is then suddenly entrusted to his aunt Djamila, married to the rich heir Stanislas de Chazelle, who does not live elsewhere than in… Neuilly-sur-seine! There he met for the first time his cousin Charles whose idol was the President of the Republic Nicolas Sarkozy. Taking up some famous expressions of the head of state of the time, like the cult line "My room, you love it or you leave it!", Charles became disillusioned when François Hollande won in 2012. This is the beginning of the plot of the second part.
While in 2008, Sami Benboudaoud, played by Samy Seghir, discovered the bourgeois life of Neuilly, ten years later, the roles are reversed. Everything is going well for Sami, who has just graduated from Sciences Po, while nothing is going well for his cousin Charles. He falls into depression and his family loses all his fortune: they have to leave their city and their lives. To go where? At Sami's, Picasso City, in Nanterre, where they find refuge. It is now the turn of the de Chazelle to discover a world they do not know and which seems so far from what they are. However, Charles does not intend to change any time soon: he quickly recovers from his "acute sarkozyte" and, while he is far from corresponding to the style of Nanterre, embarks on a campaign to become mayor of the city.
The film takes up the recipe for its success by playing with clichés and operating the expected reversal of situations compared to the first film.

The original cast is back!
The actors and actresses from the first film are back. Samy Seghir and Jérémy Denisty will embody a second time the characters of these two teenagers who are opposed. Since the cast remains the same, we will also find Denis Polyadès, Chloé Coulloud, Valérie Lemercier, Booder, Joséphine Japy, François-Xavier Demaison and Elie Sémoun, among others. Note that the only change concerns Aunt Djamila who, embodied in 2009 by Rachida Brakni, will be played this year by Sophia Aram. In short, a very promising cast that suggests a colorful sequel to satisfy the nostalgic of the first part.
At Justfocus, we can't wait to discover the sequel to Neuilly his mother ! How about you? See you on August 8 in theaters!
