Last August, actress Kristen Bell mentioned the possibility of a sequel to the series Veronica Mars. Today, it's the turn of the show's creator, Rob Thomas, to confirm that he was working on a revival.

A dream for the fans. After three seasons (2004-2007) and a film in 2014, it seems that a sequel is in the pipeline for the series Veronica Mars. This is in any case what Rob Thomas, the creator of the series, has just said at the turn of the press conference on the occasion of the third season of iZombie :

"Kristen and I both want to make a 6-episode miniseries revolving around a mystery. If I were a player, I'd bet it's going to happen. I just don't know exactly when it's going to happen. "

Even if nothing is signed yet, hope is in order, especially since the actress Kristen Bell, heroine of the series, is also in favor of this meeting! Nevertheless, the actress is currently the star of the series The Good Place (whose finale was broadcast this week) on the American channel NBC. Will the latter give him permission to shoot for another network?

"Whenactors play in TV series, most standard contracts allow them to play guest stars elsewhere for example one episode a year. But sometimes you can also shoot elsewhere if it's for something that isn't in direct competition with the channel. If Veronica Mars were to return to Netflix, would NBC consider it not to be in competition with them? "

VERONICA MARS

If the revival is done, can we hope to see all the original actors again? Most of the actors currently have other projects in progress. We can see Enrico Colantoni (Keith Mars) in the series Remedy and iZombie, whose third season will begin on April 4 (with also the appearance of Jason Dohring, unforgettable Logan Echolls). Rob Thomas, the creator, is currently developing a new series for the CW, The Lost Boys, a remake of the movie Lost Generation:

"We need to find a window of time where we would both be available… If we were not on these projects, it is sure that a return of Veronica Mars would be much faster. I think The Good Place is going to air on NBC for a while. And if The Lost Boys is a success, finding that window of time is going to be complicated."

While waiting to hear from this project, all we have to do is cross our fingers to hope to find our favorite private detective!
