One more disappointment for Alex Danvers in Supergirl ?
The actress Floriana Lima, who embodies regularly since the beginning of the second season of Supergirl the role of detective Maggie Sawyer will be present in the third season of the show. But while she was credited as the main character, she will only have a recurring status. Which means we should see it occasionally!
Bad news for fans of the couple she forms with Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh)? No certainty at this time. We remind you that at the end of season 2, Alex proposed to Maggie and that his only response was a smile.
Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg made a statement on the matter:
"We love Floriana and have enjoyed working with her to tell this inspiring story. While she's not available to us as a regular next season, we're happy to know she'll be returning for several episodes of Season 3."

It must be recognized that the love story between the two women is one of the most beautiful plots of this second season of Supergirl. We hope that this withdrawal of the character will not taint the quality of the series and especially this strong plot.
Supergirl will be back on the American channel CW next September for a fourth season.
