"Stone, leaf, paper, scissors": the new wonder of Columbine

The Rennes collective Columbine has released a new title, Pierre, feuille, papier, scissors, to listen to urgently!

Stone, leaf, paper, scissors, a new darker sound

Columbine, composed of Foda C, Lujipeka, Yro (aka Charles Vicomte), Larry Garcia (aka Lorenzo, the Emperor of the dirty), Chaps, Sully, Savaan Chaman and Sacha, is the Breton collective that has shaken up French rap

After a first album, Clubbing for Columbine in 2016, with rather adolescent pop sounds, the 8 rappers had released the excellent Enfants Terribles this spring. A more mature opus, once again homemade, swinging between a rap tinged with electro (Walkie Talkie) or rock (Fireworks), hovering (Château de sable), aesthetic and surprising.

Stone, leaf, paper, scissors is in direct continuity with the darkest and melancholic sounds of this second album, such as Eté Triste. Teased on snapchat, this new piece very personal and dark, describes the portrait of a young person of their time. However, Lujipeka and Chaps, whose verse has been removed, leave doubt as to the possible description of one of the members of the collective.
