Coco Méliès announces her new album for April 29, 2022. The third album of the Quebec band is called Nothing goes to Waste and we can listen to a splendid folk extract Remorse will end to see in video clip. Melancholic piano, refined strings, there is Patrick Watson in Coco Méliès (contraction of Francesca Como and David Méliès). We also think of The Dø for this successful marriage between male and female songs. No wild guitar riffs at home, but an intimate atmosphere conducive to daydreaming. And yet, the album was born in pain after a tormented period.
"There is nothing more painful than realizing that you are sailing outside your inland sea. Being is a social construct that is built through bruises. Others serve as benchmarks to determine who we are. At the dawn of our lives, it is a matter of survival. Then, it happens that the exercise extinguishes us slowly. May our light be stifled by the shadow of the lighthouse we built for it," explained Coco Méliès Coco Méliès blows hot and cold, whispers her anxieties or pushes the voices on an orchestral folk very fashionable in Quebec. The elegant scores of strings, piano and percussion dress the tangible sensitivity of the two wandering voices. This album is about resilience, the one of sorrows and difficulties overcome, and this gives the album a bright and peaceful color. Remorse Will End is the story of this journey towards benevolence. An ode to resilience on a frame of folk rhythms that awakens the wind and relaxes the shoulders. We can discover the extract Remorse will end, before waiting for the album Nothing goes to waste which will be available on all digital platforms from April 29, 2022 via the Big In The Garden label. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLCwqlDwJBc Group's Youtube channel
