Amen Viana offers a remix to his single Brother, a hymn to peace and friendship between men, served by a colorful clip, to discover on JustFocus. Today, the guitarist with magic fingers is preparing his 6th album: The Afrocanalyst. At ease in all universes such as reggae, rap or pop, this "musicanalist", as he calls himself, is also a singer, composer and arranger. Amen Viana released the title Brother a few months ago, sung in Mina, his mother tongue. For the Brother Remix, Amen Viana chooses English for a more universal message that everyone can understand. He is joined on the title of King Mensah (Togo), Florence Naprix (Guadeloupe), Bholoja (Switzerland) & Stefan Filey (France-Guadeloupe). Amen Viana is in the middle of preparing his next album, entitled "The Afrocanalyst", which marks a new stage in his career. Recorded during his travels as a musician and co-produced with Kwamé Yeboah (Cat Stevens, Craig David, Osibisa, Kwasibu Area Band), it corresponds to a reflection on his career and brings together guests such as Keziah Jones and Akua Naru. Originally from Togo, he quickly climbed the ladder of the West African music scene, before crossing the Mediterranean to settle in France. His guitar virtuosity is reminiscent of Jimi Hendrix, his rock energy that of Living Colour, and he quickly earned a reputation in many international events where he was invited to play alongside artists such as Black-Eyed Peas, Angélique Kidjo, Indila, Cheick Tidiane Seck, Tony Allen.
In addition to hundreds of albums he has collaborated with other artists, Amen Viana has composed and recorded five albums: Gamessou (2007), Togo to Go (2010), Funkabelik (2012), Pearls and Gold (2012) and Electric Togoland (2017). We will find him this year with The Afrocanalyst, fusion of rock, afro and blues genres, with Keziah Jones as guest.
