33 years after Rocky IV, Dolph Lundgren takes over the iconic role of Ivan Drago, a colossus and Soviet boxer who killed Apollo Creed during a gala match. Michael B. Jordan hands over the gloves of Adonis (son of Apollo) and Sylvester Stallone hands the hat of Rocky Balboa. Believing that Apollo fans would hate him, Lundgren was pleasantly surprised by their reactions to him.
33 years later…
Nowadays (in the movie) Drago is not what he used to be. He lost everything: his homeland, his wife, his glory… Apart from his quest for redemption, the only thing of value left to him is his son, Viktor. In this film, the latter will be Ivan's way to take revenge. Viktor is played by Florian Munteanu, 1m95, 105 kg. The film will therefore oppose Adonis, son of Apollo coached by Rocky, to Viktor, son of Drago. For more details, we refer you to this trailer.
Drago loved despite everything
When Dolph Lundgren went with his girlfriend to the premiere of Creed, he said in an interview with The Sun magazine that he was afraid Apollo fans would insult him, but it was not the case.
"When the movie started I was like, 'Damn, I'm the guy who killed Adonis Creed's father. The public will lynch me. Many spectators were big fans of Apollo. I thought they hated me but in the end they didn't."
The actor also confided that the film contains a surprise, but does not say more…

No one has forgotten the character of Ivan Drago, the Soviet colossus who overtook Rocky and Apollo by several heads. The public would surely like to see a final confrontation between Drago and Balboa, 33 years later. Who knows?
