Aline's choices
Scylla and Sofiane Pamart – Coal
After the album Masque de Chair released last March, the rapper accompanies Sofiane Pamart on piano, for the instrumental of Charbon. Should we still present Scylla? Scylla has become an integral part of the shadows. He gives chills to the soul, and when he raps, we know that he does not give himself halfway. His low voice grabs the guts and squeezes them, a little louder. Favorite of the week. The flames invade the screen, but not only.
Keny Arkana – Madame la Marquise
Do you remember Tout va très bien Madame la Marquise, by Ray Ventura, released in 1935? Well, Keny Arkana too. And the castle that is on fire is nothing but a metaphor for the decadence of the planet and society. Keny Arkana asks La Marquise to tackle change now. Tomorrow will already be too late. This song is now doubled by a clip, which is fascinating to say the least.Between sunrises, images of cities and destruction, there is this woman in the white mask, devoid of features, who captivates from beginning to end.
Lomepal – Demon
Lomepal moved to France Inter. He was told freestyle, and he replied Demon. 2 minutes 22 bonus, Lomepal is a real joy for the ears. This last improvised flip seems perfectly mastered. It is infinitely delicately brutal. "Or maybe the other way around, I know more."
Vald – Out of tune
Vald is back, with big shots of "En route pour niquer des mères, ah yeah yeah yeah", and a clip for the least original. We see Vald in every outfit you could imagine him wearing: from kilte to pink kigurumi. We see him at times, against a background of creepy blue neon lights, his body inert, his skull surrounded by luminous electrodes that project his delirium on screens. A woman in suits observes them and takes notes. Woman or demon? It's up to you. The tone of Désaccord is a double-edged sword.
Noucky's picks
Thirty Seconds To Mars – Dangerous Night
More teasing from Jared Leto and his gang… After Walk On Water, this title suggests the upcoming release of a new album that should be called AMERICA. It seems that the group has decided to assert its identity by fiercely opposing the current government. Their goal: to demonstrate that the real America is not Trump's, but a much more humane, richer and hopeful young people. The Guru Leto will officiate in Paris on March 14 at the AccorHotels Arena.
Oren Lavie – Second Hand Lovers
Oren Lavie returns with Bedroom Crimes, a 2nd album, composed of songs that "depict moments when an emotional crime is committed in the privacy of a bedroom". A vast subject that the singer monopolizes with a rare sensitivity and a significant sensuality. A subtle mix of melancholic ballad and introspection, the title Second Hand Lovers is the second single of this future album. The music video is the second part of a trilogy directed by Oren Lavie himself. Here, he talks about our ability to live with the ghosts of our love life and the difficulty that these memories add to any new story, the weight that these ghosts can be. Idea wonderfully staged in this clip that has already received several awards at the Los Angeles Film Awards, the Miami Short Film Festival and the Austin Music Video Festival.
Teeers – Driving On My Own
On a strange clip and bordering on kitsch, Teeers offers us a catchy and funky music that we particularly liked. But who is behind this fresh Pop group that seems to us to have left to talk about him this year? It is a Parisian trio composed of Odilon on bass, Clément on drums and Victor on guitar and vocals that was born in 2009 and took some time before producing their first opus of 8 rock tracks in 2013. Yet from 2015, the titles that appear on the web sound more Pop and we rejoice. It's bouncy and sparkling and we ask for more! To be continued.
Denique – Vegvísir
Canada never ceases to surprise us. Here is one of our latest musical discoveries: Denique ! In addition to claiming to be queer and feminist, which we strongly approve, he is the embodiment of what pop music has been moving towards for several years. He synthesizes rather well the evolution of electro pop with a music that seems to come from elsewhere and reminds us at the same time of the 80/90 origins of this style. It's rich and touching, it goes far and it works! His debut album Shape 1 was released last October. We invite you to adhere to his music by listening to Vegvísir.
Camille's choice
Hippo Campus – buttercup
Hippo Campus has decided to honor in an animated and colorful clip their song buttercup, from their first landmark opus already available. We find a song with a joyful rhythm that gives us the smile and the desire to be this summer on vacation to travel with his friends … These Americans have the gift of giving fishing!

Kali Uchis – After The Storm ft. Tyler, The Creator, Bootsy Collins
The result of yet another successful collaboration between Kali Uchis and Tyler, The Creator, After The Storm now has its own music video. Bootsy Collins who comes to life on product packaging, Tyler seeds, The Creator to grow and the four seasons: taken out of context it is hard to believe. And yet! It's hard to remain objective in front of the visual work of the clip and the voice of the fascinating Kali Uchis. We have rarely seen so pleasant to look at. Only shadow on the table, no European dates for the moment, there is more to fly to the United States …
