Relife Synopsis:
Arata Kaizaki (27) resigned from her first job after just three months. Since then, it is the cross and the banner to find a job, especially since he is too ashamed to confess the truth to his friends, who always take him for a model employee. It is then that the mysterious Ryô Yoake, an employee of ReLIFE laboratories, appears in his life. He offers her to participate in a social reintegration experiment for unemployed young people, which goes through… A year back to high school! The end of the year has arrived!
The last four episodes of the Relife series were released on March 21, after months of waiting for those who had watched the first season of the anime.
Regarding the scenario, we found with great pleasure the terminales 3 of the Aoba high school. So the story picks up exactly where we left off a few months earlier. So we go back to the corridors of the school following Arata, who continues to experience his relife to the best of his ability. Our high school students evolve through their evaluations, which are always as difficult for Arata, the high school festival or the fireworks. These different events put the characters in situations that they have not necessarily experienced before and allow them to discover themselves a little more, as well as to discover possible feelings. Indeed, it will be necessary to wait until the end of the anime for Arata and Chizuru to realize their mutual feelings. Which is quite sad when you know that they will mutually forget each other once their relives are over.
Indeed, at the end of his schooling, having understood that his friends would forget him once his relife was over, Arata isolated himself slightly so that his classmates could keep a maximum of memories. As a viewer, it's quite sad to know that everyone will forget Arata and all the happy moments they had together. They all talk about their future, about the university, but Arata knows that they will all continue without him. Regarding Arata and Chizuru, the story ends well for them because once adults, they will find themselves by chance in a bar. All's well that ends well, right?
A rather quick ending!
These episodes allow you to conclude the anime and any questions you may have had. However, we must admit that 4 episodes is short enough to finish a story. Events unfold relatively quickly and are little explored. The story could have gone further for some scenes, in order to appreciate them at their true value. Some important scenes for the unfolding of the story are too fast. We feel that the series is ending and that everything must be said and shown before the end of the fourth episode. Which is a shame.
After months of waiting, we would have liked to enjoy a little more the events that take place there and thus go further in the relationship that Arata has with Chizuru, or between Oga and Karui. For this, it will be necessary to turn to the paper version which explains and develops many more important scenes, scenes that have not always been adapted in the anime version.
These last episodes close an anime very pleasant to watch. Relife is a good series that immerses you in the daily life of high school students not always like the others. For those who would like to discover the series in another format, it is available at Ki-oon !
