HiComics releases a new series of Rick and Morty in comics. The crazy duo is not at the center of the episodes but do these episodes find the acid and absurd spirit of the cartoon?

The Smith family finally gives way! Indeed, in this new series Rick & Morty, characters crossed in the series pass in the foreground to discover new facets of their personalities. Each episode is dedicated to a different character. In the first, the Revengers return to seek help from Rick & Morty. But this arrival of the worst Avengers of the multiverse is mostly a good excuse to mock mainstream superhero comics with meta jokes. This group is called the brand new and different Revengers parodying the All-New All-Different Marvel where the publishing house of Iron Man and Captain America had wanted to modernize its heroes. Always sarcastic, Rick never ceases to mock the lack of originality of their threats. Indeed, their former ally Boon has become a master of evil by collecting infinity balls… Thanos will appreciate the reference. During a quest, the Revengers come across bikers worthy of Mad Max: Fury Road. Rick also thinks that the public can no longer stand these shared universes whose only purpose is to make money… Marvel and DC will appreciate it. The next episode is dedicated to the happiest employee Krambopulos Michael. Indeed, this insectoid psychopath is lucky enough to be a professional killer and he takes a lot of satisfaction. He wants to make Rick happy… by offering to kill his entire family. However, his friendship becomes more and more oppressive and even disturbing as the pages go by. In an even more delirious but romantic register, Gary tired tells the attack of a shapeshifting parasite with mental powers. Rick had decided to quarantine him in the garage but he escapes to join Morty's father Jerry. The two had an affair and go into space through a vessel amalgamating the male and female genitalia.
And finally, a pickle
From the Revengers, we meet Rick-ornichon, a completely crazy character, as he seeks to master the acid power of brine. The solo episode explains that Rick turned into a cucurbit to escape family therapy. This brilliant scientist has a knack for finding complicated solutions to simple problems. But the intervention of his daughter and an open window will turn the perfect plan into an absurd journey but allowing us to understand how the pickle of the beginning ended up with an armor of bones and animal skins. Fans will be delighted to see the return of robotdogs who have leashed a human. The episode is repeatedly interrupted by an advertisement. 
So we see that even if the characters change the humor of Rick & Morty remains the same to the delight of fans. This is explained by the choice of artists. Even if the mixed team of writers is more varied, the regulars of the main series will find C.J. Cannon to the drawings. The first volume of Rick and Morty is in line with the series: a good dose of absurd humor and a total absence of conventions. The fan will be delighted to find the Revengers or Rick-ornichon. However, the neophyte can also start with this volume before reading the main series.
