The American network CBS has indeed ordered a pilot based on the film by Antoine Fuqua. The plot of the series will take place 15 years after the film. We note more particularly the reversal of the roles of the characters. This time, the idealistic young officer is an African-American and his partner, a white officer.

Antoine Fuqua who directed the film Training Day will be at the controls of this pilot on a script by Will Beall (Castle, Gangster Squad). The two men will also executive produce alongside Top Gun's Jerry Bruckheimer Jonathan Littman and Kristie Anne Reed. For now, neither of the two main actors of the film has confirmed his involvement in the series. Of course, we will keep you informed in case of new information on this subject.

As a reminder, the film Training Day was a real success when it was released on the big screen. The feature film had achieved $ 104 million in revenue. In addition to a financial triumph, the film also received excellent reviews. The performance of Denzel Washington alongside Ethan Hawke was particularly highlighted. At the 74th Academy Awards, he won the award for Best Actor. It is also one of his best roles in cinema.
