Between romantic comedy & thirst for justice

Meeting between Na Bong Seon and Sun Ae.

If the initial plot makes us think that we are dealing with a classic romance, think again. The drama stands out by offering us two distinct parts. At first, we will follow the daily life of this brigade of cooks and its chef a little undrinkable. However, the story evolves well, with the arrival of Soon-Ae, a young ghost woman. It must be said that between her and Bong-Sun, it's a bit like day and night. One is always playful and expansive while the other is withdrawn and apologizes for nothing. Thus, the team and the handsome chef will end up getting to know the young employee better through the possession of Soon-Ae. In a second step, the drama takes a completely different turn by leaving some routine aside, probably to avoid tiring its audience. By offering us to discover what lies behind the strange and mysterious death of Shin Soon-Ae. A real plus that allows us to fully appreciate this comedy not so light as it seems!

An atypical love triangle

The restaurant brigade after work.

But what would the plot be without its characters played by talented actors. Moreover, the transition between Bong-Sun and Soon-Ae is most successful. Indeed, when one finds itself possessed by the other we find it difficult to believe that it is one and the same person that we have before our eyes. The two actresses are really complementary and know how to make us go from laughter (Soon-Ae and his mania for wanting to take action with the chef) to tears (Bong-Sun revealing the truth to the chef). We also take affection for Sun-Woo who under his air of authoritarian leader, hides a great romantic who wants to do well. In the restaurant team we also appreciate Min-so, the sous-chef who does not have his tongue in his pocket, Dong-Chul, the man of confidence, Joon the little young man on duty and Ji-Woong the jokester. We must not forget the disturbing presence of Choi Sung-Jae who becomes more and more important as we advance in the story. A character that should surprise some of you! Seobinggo the shaman is also not to be outdone with Jo Hye-Young (the mother of the chief). The shaman is still there for Soon-Ae to help him leave this world. She looks like a mother who wants the best for her child.

Two proven genres

There's love in the air!

If romance and fantasy are often associated, it is because in general the two go rather well together. One could cite the drama The Master's Sun. In terms of special effects planned for ghosts, they are not exceptional, but it remains natural and almost real which in itself is a good thing. Unlike dramas about ghosts and which are sometimes scary. Here, they are not very present (apart from the demonic spirit) and should not bother you too much if you do not like this kind of paranormal phenomenon. The field of cooking will be present and will make you salivate with its dishes that will make your mouth water, see will give you why not the desire to test some of them! The ost are of good quality and placed properly, putting us very well in the mood. In short, this romance is a great success for fans of the genre who want a plot a little different from the classic love triangle, with a little bit of action!
