For years, the series tell us the daily life of our favorite heroes. Small and big stories made us laugh, cry, shiver. When we get to the end of these stories, it's time to turn the page and close the series.
The 2018-2019 television season promises to be full of emotions. In the course of this year, many series will be broadcast for the last time. Among these TV shows, very popular series that should leave a void in the saddened hearts of fans. Different series naturally come to an end. This is the case of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend which was planned from the beginning over four seasons. Gotham will also end this year. Star Robin Lord Taylor (The Penguin) assures that the whole team "puts all its strength into every movement". The actor hopes to do justice to this story in which he participated for five years. The Game of Thrones phenomenon is also about to end. This is not a surprise, however: showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss had announced at the end of season six that they would soon be at the end of this gigantic story they wanted to tell.
On the road to new adventures
However, not all series were doomed to such a quick death. Some would have liked to continue the adventure a little longer but they had to deal with the demands of others. This is for example the case of The Big Bang Theory. If season 12 is the last, it is because actor-star Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper) has decided to stop the series to turn to new projects. Broad City is also coming to an end, and its creators Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson are already looking to new projects with Comedy Central. The series Homeland has long known an uncertain fate, the producer Claire Danes slipping here and there clues about the possible end of the series. Other shows have a forced end. House of Cards has suffered terribly from the sexual assault accusations against Kevin Spacey. The star actor had to resign and the series ended shortly after his disgrace.
In total, more than twenty series end in the year 2018-2019. Fans say goodbye to Mr Robot, Jane the Virgin, Veep, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, The Affair, The Last Ship, iZombie, Shadowhunters, You're the Worst, Timeless, Killjoys, The Disastrous Adventures of the Baudelaire Orphans …
Thousands of fans are anxiously awaiting the end of their favorite series and hope not to be disappointed. We hope to discover soon new series at the height of those to which we must say goodbye.
