A speech that we could complete, by pointing out that it is only through the open-mindedness of today's children that changes for tomorrow's children can take place. An open-mindedness that goes through schooling and culture. A culture built, among other things, on the practice and knowledge of the arts!

    Children's cinema

It is on this occasion and for this reason that we have decided in this paper to list the next animated films that will be released by the end of 2016.

Brad Bird's The Iron Giant (December 7)

Like the adventures of Wallace and Gromit, The Iron Giant is nothing new. Based on a British bestseller for young audiences by Ted Hughes, Warner Studios developed a film project, which they entrusted to Brad Bird. The film was released in 1999. (1h27).

Synopsis: In the United States of the 1950s, one evening, while his mother, Annie, is working in the cafeteria, Hogarth is watching television alone when suddenly the image blurs. It is while climbing on the roof that he discovers that the antenna has been devoured by an alien creature. Gathering all his courage, he goes after him, and discovers, in the heart of the nearby forest, the Iron Giant. The country, then in the midst of the Cold War, perceived it as an enemy attack. A fear all the more marked that the "Iron Giant" does not go unnoticed, by its size, 20 meters, and its ferocious appetite for scrap metal.

Your Name by Makoto Shinkai (December 28)

Finally, here is an anime directed by Makoto Shinkai, which he adapted from a novel he wrote himself. Something he had already done before for his medium-length film The Garden of Words (2013).

This film tells the story of the upheaval of the lives of two young teenagers who, without knowing each other, are connected in spite of themselves.

Indeed, Mitsuha, a teenager stuck in a traditional family, dreams of leaving her native mountains to discover the hectic life of Tokyo. However, she manages to do this through her dreams: she imagines herself in the shoes of a Tokyoite, Taki, a high school student, who keeps busy by working in an Italian restaurant and seeing his friends. Everything changes when she understands that her dreams are more than ultra-realistic dreams, Taki dreaming of a traditional life, in the mountains … in the shoes of a young girl!

NB: This film is currently on track to become one of the biggest Japanese successes, in the footsteps of films like Chihiro's Journey, The Traveling Castle, Princess Mononoke

In addition, it outperforms this year's American animation movies: Zootopia and Finding Dory.
