The Other Typist is a novel written by Suzanne Rindell and published in 2013. It was the author's first book, which was a great success, especially among the English-speaking public. Since then, she has published Three-Martini Lunch in 2016, Eagle & Crane in 2018 and her new book, The Two Mrs Carlyles, will be published on July 28. 
The story of The Other Typist is set in 1920s New York. It tells us about the life of Rose Baker, a young woman who works as a stenographer for a police station. She finds herself facing a dazzling new colleague named Odalie. Embarked in her world, they become two inseparable, until Rose develops an obsession with this woman. This book makes us travel through time and above all takes us on a crazy adventure alongside these two protagonists, Rose and Odalie.
A serial adaptation
The novel will be entitled to a serial adaptation. Writer Suzanne Rindell will be involved in the project as she will be one of the producers of the series. She is not the only one to commit in this way to the adaptation, as the future lead actress Keira Knightley will also be part of the producers. The series will be produced by Searchlight Television and 20th Century Fox Television. It will then air on Hulu. The actress was determined from the start to finalize this project since according to Variety, she would have brought to Searchlight the project. His first wish was to adapt it into a film. 
Finally, the series will also be produced by The L Word creator Ilene Chaiken. She will also write the pilot for the series. She is also famous as executive producer of the series The Handmaid's Tale.
