Focus on the original releases of this month of August as well as on the cult films that land on the platform.
The original films:
August 3
Like father: a young woman addicted to work is abandoned by her fiancé in front of the altar. Determined to go on honeymoon anyway, she finally goes on a trip with her father.
This is a strange starting point for this film released recently on the platform. A film idea that should offer us a tender comedy full of emotions.
August 10
The package: four teenagers try everything they can to save the penis of one of their friend, who was cut off during their camping holiday.
With such a synopsis, it's hard to imagine anything other than a fat comedy and no headache. Typically what suits a lot of people during the holiday period!

This is an idea full of potential for a romantic comedy that could prove to be very sympathetic. Will this story be fully exploited? Answer on August 17 on Netflix.
August 24
The After Party: a young up-and-coming rapper is known for the wrong reasons on social networks. While he thinks his career is over because of this bad buzz, he is given another chance at a crazy party.
Rap, social networks, a crazy evening and young people… Everything you need to offer viewers an interesting, funny story that deals with several social issues at the same time. Will the film live up to what it offers? To see.

Netflix's repertoire of films obviously continues to grow via some cult films that land on the platform. Here is a (non-exhaustive) list of works that will appear in August 2018.
August 9:
Annabelle: By finding a very rare antique doll, John is convinced that he has found the perfect gift for Mia, his pregnant wife. Only, shortly after this purchase, the members of a cult enter their home and brutally assault them. After this traumatic attack, the troubles continue unabated, since the attackers have awakened a monstrous creature: Annabelle.
This horror film is the second in the cinematic saga The Conjuring. And while a prequel to Annabelle was released in 2017, a third film about the demonic doll is about to see the light of day in 2019…
August 15:

Two killer films "Made in Europacorp" (the company created by Luc Besson), this is enough to turn off his brain for a few hours to relax. If Hitman is known to be an adaptation hated by gamers and even the general public, Columbiana does not enjoy this disastrous reputation and has even been rather forgotten. Anyway, here is the opportunity to give a second chance to these two small action movies.
August 29:
Out of Africa: Karen is a young Danish aristocrat who arrives in Kenya to get married. But while she is abandoned by her fickle husband and the First World War rages, she falls in love with Africa and Dionysius, a young hunter in search of adventure.
