A dress-code imposed for the 75th Golden Globes Awards

This Sunday, January 7, the 75th Golden Globes Ceremony will be held. But this year, it will impose a very particular dress-code…

Indeed, women and men will be dressed in black to highlight their support for victims of sexual assault in Hollywood. We note that the American press had already "announced the color" in mid-December, specifying that female but also male stars will dress in black to parade on the red carpet. It is therefore a symbol of protest full of force to denounce gender inequalities in Hollywood, but also to continue to support victims of sexual assault who have spoken out since the Weinstein case.

However, it should be noted that the "star-system" does not surf on a fad. Indeed, in 2016, HeforShe, a solidarity campaign for gender equality at the UN, was already launched, with the emblematic Emma Watson as godmother.

Thus, actresses like Margot Robbie (nominated for I and Tonya), Jessica Chastain (nominated for The Great Game ) or Emma Stone (nominated for Battle of the Sexes) will not be the only ones to dress in black for this ceremony. Their male partners will also respect this dress-code like Dwayne Johnson, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston or Hugh Jackman (nominated for The Greatest Showman).

This year, the 75th Golden Globes Ceremony will mark the spirits but not only for its palmares. So it promises to be interesting to discover…
