After a triumphant American residency in 2017 entitled "All I Want for Christmas Is You, a Night of Joy and Festivity" which ended up touring Europe for 3 dates (Paris, London and Manchester), Mariah Carey is preparing to hit the road again with her magical and enchanted sleigh and will go to the AccorHotels Arena in Paris on December 7th.

Mariah is the modern-day Santa Claus

It's only June and yet it's never too late to think about Christmas. As soon as the bikinis season begins, Mariah Carey reminds us to order: turkey, foie gras, extra pounds and over-size sweaters will quickly return. And what could be better than a little folklore to embellish the Christmas periods with flavor? Never stingy with gifts, Mariah Carey has just announced the return of the tour "All I Want for Christmas is You, a Night of Joy and Festivity", which will pass through Europe for 10 dates in 2018. In Paris, it will be on December 7th at the AccorHotels Arena.

On the agenda? Artificial snowballs, elves doing choreography, and Christmas carols revisited with R&B/pop sauce and the wonderful voice of Miss Mariah Carey. We can't wait. Because although Mariah Carey is no longer the biggest record seller in the world, she is still a living legend, whose shows remain indisputably very good.

How Christmas changed Mariah Carey's career

There are so many laudatory and sometimes lackluster superlatives to describe Mariah Carey. The fact remains that the vocal talent of the American singer continues for almost 30 years to delight the whole world. During her career, the singer with 5 octaves has broken all possible and unimaginable records.

The latest? Make legendary a hit released in 1994. Because it's been 24 years since the release of the song "All I Want for Christmas is You". From the album Merry Christmas released the same year, we speak at the time of a hit, but not a signature song of the artist. It took a few years to see this song come back in loop during the Christmas periods. It is during the following decade that this song will even become a real world hit. Every year, "All I Want for Christmas is You" re-enters the world charts, reaching No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2017, its highest position ever… 23 years after its original release. Legendary, this title has since grossed more than $60 million in royalties and has been crowned as the most popular Christmas song of the decade in the UK.

Besides, when you think about it, what other song has the merit of infusing Christmas with this special spirit apart from Mariah Carey?

For fun, we revise our vocalizations to be well warmed up for this Christmas concert that we would not want to miss for anything in the world …
