Sukeban Turbo – Volume 1: Sisterhood

An event since it is the very first original creation stamped Glénat Comics ! Presented as a cross between Akira and the TV series Girls, Sukeban Turbo takes us alongside Shelby Buckman, a 17-year-old New York high school student who has already had a sulphurous journey. At the head of a gang of girls nicknamed the "Sukeban Turbo", a reference to a radical Japanese women's movement of the 1970s, Shelby sells cocaine, MDMA and amphetamine to Brooklyn hipsters on behalf of Jared, a 25-year-old kingpin. The trendy look and youth of Shelby and her girlfriends open all the doors to the trendy evenings of the city that never sleeps, and the clientele that goes with it. Throughout her life, Shelby has known nothing but chaos. And she can't imagine living any other way. But soon, his life will take another turn… Is redemption at the end of the journey?

Written by Sylvain Runberg (Warship Jolly Roger) and drawn by Victor Santos (Polar), Sukeban Turbo invites us to discover today's New York youth and the different cultures that make it up.

Polar – Volume 2 : An eye for an eye

Left for dead in Arctic waters with a bullet hole in her head, Christy White is rescued by a mysterious man. As she seeks redress, he teaches her how to piece together the snippets of her past as a killer. They tried to cool her down, but they should have finished the job. Because now, the fire that animates Christy has rekindled and finished thawing her: she is just in time to burn the whole world!

The second volume of the Polar series, by Spanish cartoonist and screenwriter Victor Santos , takes us into mysterious meanders. As icy as it is bloody, Polar is an enjoyable read, which will make you turn the 176 pages as fast as your head!
