The comedy Powerless is canceled on NBC.

It must be believed that not all series with superheroes are destined to last. Powerless, broadcast on NBC since February 2, has just been removed from the air while it still had 3 episodes to finish its first season.

A decision taken following the poor ratings recorded by the last episodes (2.03 million viewers on average) and especially a drop of 30% compared to the scores of its lead-in Superstore. The series is therefore purely and simply canceled and will not have a second season. We don't yet know if NBC will decide to air the remaining three episodes or when it will air them.

Powerless has struggled a lot since the launch of the project between the various script and showrunner changes.

The series took place in the fictional universe of the publisher DC Comics, in an insurance company called Wayne Security, a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprise. Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens) and her colleagues are people like any other, without superpowers. Every day, they have to live knowing that they are working in a world full of superheroes and other mystical threats and sometimes they even have to work for the superheroes in question, especially when it comes to having to deal with the damage left behind after their missions.
