The Eurockéennes festival takes place from 1 to 3 July 2016, and for this first day we were not disappointed!
The Last Shadow Puppets
The Last Shadow Puppets is this British duo composed of Alex Turner and Miles Kane who offered us an exceptional show on this first day of the Eurockéennes on the big stage! They were able to amaze the public with a gesture and an interpretation of their own.At times, they are so close that sometimes we might have doubt and wonder if it is not more than a duo. But they have especially made happy by covering their emblematic titles such as Standing Next To Me and My Mistake Was Made For You from their first album The Age Of The Understatement. Then we had many titles, now cult, from their second opus released on April 1st Everything You've Come To Expect such as Bad Habits or Miracle Aligner. Then, at the end, a memorable moment, because we were treated to an intervention in French chanting "how is it written?" and an audience screaming in heart the initials of the group "T-L-S-P". Many people will tell you that their set was too short, we wanted more!
Breakbot
Head to the beach to see DJ and electronic music composer Breakbot ! He will have played mainly the songs of his last album Still Wanter released in 2016 which includes the single Get Lost. The audience was very receptive and everyone was dancing. However, we could see an audience at its peak when Breakbot performed its flagship title: Baby I'm Yours. As usual, Breakbot was not very talkative, he spoke twice to his audience at the end of his show with a thank you, followed by a thank you very much.
The Insus
Last year, Téléphone surprised us to reform under the qualification of the Insus, and 2016 really marks their return with a tour of festivals that includes the Eurockéennes on the big stage. The least we can say is that the public was there both in terms of numbers and atmosphere! We found everyone: the young, the oldest, the fans and the amateurs. But one thing is certain, Les Insus put everyone in agreement! The band offered us an exceptional show and the audience did them well by singing loud and clear the lyrics of their flagship songs such as Cinderella and Ça c'est vraiment toi !
Darius
We go back to the beach to listen to Darius, this young Frenchman who has a style oscillating between house and disco.Moreover, many categorize his sound as French Touch. And we can say that he seduced the audience well: everyone was dancing on the beach, clapping, shouting. And it did not leave indifferent the artist Darius who will thank the public many times before taking a picture of all the festival-goers!
Mr Ozio
And now, we return for the last time of the day on the big stage for Mr Oizo, this electronic music artist who will open his show with: You are all animals and immediately, the crowd is delirious! Some will have had the chance to catch some masks that are thrown at them and where we can see the news: release of his next album for the fall of 2016 and it will be called ALL WET. But the show will be shortened for us by the rain that will precipitate our departure.
In the end, the festival Les Eurockéennes offered us a memorable first day with all these groups. It makes us especially impatient to be tomorrow, even if the rain may be at the rendezvous.
