In case you haven't noticed yet, 2017 promises to be the year of big comebacks. And among those we expected, the band Depeche mode announced yesterday a new album, Spirit, and a tour that will start in May!
After 3 years of absence, the mythical British band is back!
Spirit will be Depeche Mode's 14th album and it should be released in early 2017 (no official date yet announced). A great performance for this legendary formation, born in the late 70s and which has contributed a lot to the development of current electronic music!
Despite their fame and influence in the music world, Dave Grahan considers that the band is always looking for new sounds and innovation. This album will be produced by James Ford (Florence & The Machine, Arctic Monkeys) and even if no title has yet been released, we can imagine a nice direction for Spirit.
To accompany the release of this new opus, Depeche Mode has scheduled a gigantic European tour from May 2017. 32 cities in 21 countries including 3 dates in France: May 12, 2017 at STADE

We can therefore expect a lot from this Global Spirit Tour and we can potentially expect insane concerts as was the case during their last visit to France.

The Global Spirit Tour will then cross the Atlantic and continue its journey through North and South America.
The tour will also be an opportunity to raise awareness among Depeche mode fans about a cause that is close to their hearts: access to clean water for everyone on the planet. They also support the organization Charity Water !
