The exhibition "Ink in motion" which focuses on the history of Chinese painting in the 20th century is extended. You will have until March 5 to see it. It can be seen at the Cernushi Museum. The Museum of Asian Arts of the city of Paris puts Chinese history in the spotlight. After the exhibition "painting out of the world" which addressed the imperial past of China, we move into another era with ink in motion. A real journey back in time to navigate between these parts of the history of one of the richest countries in the world historically speaking. The Cernushi Museum also holds one of the main European collections. More than 70 paintings by 34 artists. As these treasures are sensitive to light, presenting them at an exhibition requires a great deal of preparation. When we know the history of China, we know that it has undergone many changes during the 20th century, whether by the revolution of 1949 or by its opening to the world during the 80s. Painting has evolved over these pivotal periods. The 70 works presented do not represent everything the museum has in its drawers. Actually; There are several hundred works. Among the masters presented, Qi Baishi, Fu Baoshi, Wu Guanzhong or Li Jin as well as the works of the greatest figures of this artistic diaspora such as Chang Dai-chien (Zhang Daqian), Zao Wou-ki (Zhao Wuji), Walasse Ting (Ding Xiongquan) or Ma Desheng.
