Apparently some scenes may be entitled to a change. So it wouldn't just be a matter of shooting additional scenes. In any case, this is what Dave Bautista, interpreter of Drax from Guardians of the Galaxy suggests during his interview for Digital Spy:

"I know I'm in Avengers 4. I shot most of my scenes. I have two days of reshoots, but other than that, I have really great scenes and I hope they use them. But I guess we'll have to wait and see what they'll do with the characters."

While the web is full of theories, all more surprising from each other. The official plot of the film is still unknown.

By spring 2019, many more theories will have time to emerge. But also possible leaks vis-à-vis the shooting. While waiting for the release, you can remake all the Marvel movies so as not to get lost in the multiple plots.
