The cast present in season 1 of Stranger Things had been officially renewed a few days ago and now, three new actors join the team. Ready for a presentation of the new faces?
Sean Astin
We know his face for his role as Sam in The Lord of the Rings or Mikey in The Goonies : Sean Astin is now coming to Netflix! He will play Bob Newby, a nerd who went to school at the same time as Joyce (Winona Ryder) and Hopper (David Harbour). Bob Newby is the manager of Hawkins' RadioShack, an electronics store.
Paul Reiser
You may have seen him in the series Crazy About You or in Aliens: The Return. Paul Reiser will be in Stranger Things Dr. Owens. This scientist is a very senior member of the Department of Energy (from which Eleven escaped) who will have to understand the events of the past year and prevent them from spreading.
Linnea Berthelsen
Linnea Berthelsen is a Danish actress who will play Roman, a woman who is only known to have suffered a heavy loss as a child. The young woman does not live in Hawkins but will find herself connected to the supernatural events of the Department of Energy laboratory that took place in the first season.
The announcement of the arrival of its three actors follows the news of the renewal of the cast of season 1 (including the long-awaited presence of Millie Bobby Brown) as well as the arrival of Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery, which had been announced a few weeks ago.
The second season of Stranger Things is just entering production. No release date yet, but it is expected for summer 2017!
