We told you about it some time ago : the festival was back in Saint-Ouen this weekend! Warm atmosphere and independent programming, everyone found his account. We were there on Friday night…

This Friday evening, the festival attracted an audience of all ages who came to see the 6 planned concerts. We saw only 4 but they were well worth it…

As soon as we arrived, we discovered the setting of Mains d'Oeuvres specially arranged for the festival. We will meet MO and FO tagged on mirrors and a tyrannosaurus, mascot of this thirteenth edition. Among the long corridors, we discover the two concert halls as well as a courtyard and a luminescent room reproducing the shapes of our bodies on the walls. But here we are already for the first concert!

8:30 pm, FO stage: Robbing Millions

At the beginning of the evening, only about fifty18109909_1530250506986699_357661371_o people were present to cheer Robbing Millions. This first concert of the evening was also placed under the sign of vintage. Dress or hair, the five boys of Robbing Millions came straight out of the previous century.

Without managing to unleash the crowd, they still triggered some hip movements among the audience, especially during In The No Air, very catchy it must be admitted. In any case, thanks to their rock in English, the band did not disappoint us.

    9pm, MO stage: Halo Maud

    Halo Maud

As soon as the previous concert is over, we are already in the other room to see the Halo Maud concert, which has already begun. Having launched her solo project, the young Frenchwoman came to present her latest EP Du pouvoir released last month on the MO stage. Alternating between songs in French and songs in English, she delivered a compilation of pop songs more or less effective. Nevertheless, his high-pitched voice was very pleasant to hear, a real asset!

    9:45 pm, FO stage: Marietta

    Marietta

Also alternating songs in English and French, the singer Marietta managed to surround a now very hot audience! With very rock sounds and even louder outro, the room screamed a lot. The last song ended in all directions, which unleashed the audience! This was the climax of the screams when the singer decided to take a crowd bath, which triggered a final pogo throughout the room. As all the members left the stage, everyone was asking for more!

    11pm, FO stage: Grand Blanc

We were mostly there for them and it was Grand Blanc's first concert since the end of their tour in December. Mains d'Oeuvres is their home so they were naturally present for this edition for a unifying but unusual concert. Indeed, this set was far from what we could see throughout 2016. Without artifice, they were all dressed in white while the only lights were white. As if to recall their name. However, that didn't stop them from delivering a performance that was both epic and intimate.

The packed room gradually made more and more noise as the songs followed one another. Extremely close to the public, "We will sing you a love song because we love you" they launched before starting L'amour fou. The apotheosis took place during the last 3 songs: Desert desire, Verticool and Saturday the night. While the front rows recited the lyrics, the entire hall was then swept away by a general pogo that stopped only at the end of the concert.

Finally, all the lights came back on and the room emptied but part of the audience did not intend to stop there. Shouting repeatedly Montparnasse, a title very popular with fans, a small group convinced Grand Blanc to return to the stage. Small disappointment for them, they chose to play Petites frappes, title taken from their EP dating from 2014. The atmosphere was even more electric and the audience was more than delighted! Grand Blanc is definitely a band to see on stage.

    Great White

And here we are already in the metro a few minutes later, hoping that the festival will be back next year…
