This is the first adventureof Yong Justice after the reboot of the DC universe. A first mission that will take them to another world. That's it! Young Justice is back! For fans who follow the continuity of the DC Comics universe this release raises many questions. Indeed, the last I heard, this team had been erased since the events of Flashpoint (the moment when Flash returns to the past to try to save his mother.) For lovers of the franchise, or even those who are new to it, it is absolutely not necessary to know the entire background of each character to understand this story. Bendis, who we know for Secret War, Ultimate: Spiderman or Clark Kent: Superman, is at the helm of the new Wonder comics collection. This collection also includes Naomi, Young Justice and Wonder Twins. wall youngjustice2 Young Justice, back for our greater good

Bendis, a prolific author

For this first installment of Young Justice, Bendis is also on the script and he does a very good job. It is not easy to succeed in introducing characters erased from the universe without it being "deus ex machina". However, he manages to reform this small team composed of Robin, Superboy, the clone of Superman, Impulse, grandson of Barry Allen, Amethyste, princess of the gem of the same name and Wonder Girl, granddaughter of Zeus, as well as some new characters. Following an altercation with invaders from another world, this fine team finds itself teleported to Gemworld, a world where gems have special powers.

Two cartoonists for a comic

Patrick Gleason and John Timms are drawing, the first did Batman and Robin and the second Harley Quinn. These two artists manage perfectly to mix their particular styles. So much so that we can't distinguish them from each other! The result is striking. In this volume of Young Justice, the world of Gemworld, the gems, and their colors, matter. The landscapes are masterfully executed with perfect chromatic mastery. The rendering is a beautiful work that brings a rich and diverse world. The looks of the protagonists are also worked, in particular, that of Superboy. Young Justice Tome 1 4 Young Justice, back for our greater good

A first volume that promises a beautiful sequel

Young Justice: Prisoner of Gemworld is a good first volume. He manages to introduce both old and new characters. With a few flashbacks, he supports everyone's personality. This allows connoisseurs to get back up to date and those who discover the different characters. He also manages to add notes of humor that do not detract from the atmosphere of the comics but that allow small moments of freshness of this group of teenagers / young adults. The script is good without being very original. However, it is perfectly suited to the introduction and presentation of this new team of young heroes ready to do anything to do justice and help others. The Just Focus team highly recommends it, it is accessible to all audiences and the many double-pages will delight your eye.
