As far as I'm concerned, it was a makeup artist who made me discover it. I specify that I am a model, and that I have more than one backstage secret to make you discover. This one is my favorite.
So the oleo-limestone liniment, what is it?
Originally, liniment was invented to treat burns, then its use was derived. Today, it is used to clean babies' buttocks.It is bought in pharmacies in the newborn department.
Liniment is a creamy substance composed essentially of two elements: cold-pressed olive oil, and calcium hydroxide (also called lime water). It is applied to the skin in anointing or rubbing.
As everyone already knows, olive oil serves to moisturize, nourish and protect the skin, but what most people don't know is that calcium hydroxide serves to restore the skin's natural pH and repair small redness or sores. It is therefore the perfect product to clean the buttocks of babies while protecting them from the acidity of urine and repairing small redness. As it is made for babies, it is hypoallergenic, paraben-free, aluminum salt-free, fragrance-free, and without all the tralala that can hurt us.
So the liniment only wants you good!
Liniment can be used daily to moisturize your skin. On application, the texture seems a little greasy the first minutes but fades quickly. This leaves a feeling of a thin protective layer that is maintained throughout the day. A few hours later, the skin is still soft, and does not seem dry.It can also be applied to the face, ideally in the evening, at a frequency of 2 times a week. The liniment will deeply moisturize the epidermis of the face while repairing small pimples.For dry or even very dry skin, it can be applied morning and evening on the face.
A little reminder: just because you have oily skin doesn't mean you shouldn't moisturize your face, on the contrary! Excess sebum is not synonymous with excess hydration. The face needs to be well hydrated for the cells to regenerate. So, do not miss this step before bed.
Liniment can work many miracles. If, for example, your darling shaves his head and he still has small pimples on it, the liniment will make them disappear. Same with eczema or other skin problems of this kind, they will not disappear, but the liniment soothes them.
The most sensitive faces can use it as a makeup remover. To do this, simply place it on cotton as with a classic makeup remover.
