Based on the novel of the same name published in 2018, The Outsider, is not a first attempt, since many films and series have already been adapted from King's works. The latest to date, the mini-series has 10 episodes and is available since January 13, 2020 on OCS and Amazon Prime Video.

Synopsis of The Outsider

The mutilated body of 11-year-old Frankie was found in the city park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints seem to point to one of the most beloved citizens, Terry Maitland (Jason Bateman), coach of the young baseball team, English teacher, husband and father of two daughters. Very quickly, Detective Ralph Anderson (Ben Mendelsohn), close to the alleged accused, orders his public arrest. Yet Terry has a strong alibi. He was indeed several hundred kilometers away at the time of the murder. The explanation for this case may well be beyond comprehension.
