We are approaching the end of 2016, and even if most American networks have drawn their new series, some (and not least!) will be to be discovered in this month of November…
The Crown
On November 4th, Netflix gives you an appointment with a queen! The series focuses on Queen Elizabeth II, then 25 years old and facing the daunting task of leading the world's most famous monarchy while building relationships with legendary Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill. The British Empire is in decline, the political world in disarray… A young woman ascends the throne, at the dawn of a new era. A huge budget for a luxurious series, with Matt Smith (Doctor Who) and Claire Foy (Crossbones), in 10 episodes.
Six
Scheduled for November 14, the new series of the American channel History, Six, will portray us in 8 episodes, the story of the Navy Seal Six team "the best of the best". In 2014, this team was tasked with eliminating one of the Taliban leaders in Afghanistan while an American citizen was working with terrorists. The series will try to capture the essence of what this team had to do and the impact it all had on their personal lives. In the cast, the actor Barry Sloane, seen in Revenge.
Shooter
Scheduled for November 15 on USA, the series Shooter is derived from the eponymous film of 2007: Bob Lee Swagger, a former sniper who returns to duty after Isaac Johnson, his former commander turned agent for the secret service, contacts him to thwart an assassination against the president. But after being overtaken and trapped, Swagger will have to use all his skills to avoid being captured, while thwarting the conspiracy against him. American actor Ryan Phillippe will play the hero of this series, where we can find Omar Epps (Dr. House). The first season consists of 12 episodes.
Good Behavior
Adapted from the Letty Dobesh book series, by Blake Crouch, Good Behavior follows Letty Dobesh (Michelle Dockery – Downton Abbey), a thief and con artist whose life is still hanging by a thread, a bad decision… While she has just been released from prison, she will try to stay on the right path, but it is without counting on her encounter with a hitman. An offbeat series to be found on TNT for 10 episodes from November 15th!
Search Party
A new TBS comedy scheduled for November 21, Search Party will focus on Dory, a shy and frustrated young woman who learns of the disappearance of Chantal, a former classmate. She then goes in search of him with her friends. With actress Alia Shakwat, seen in Pee-wee's Big Holiday.
Gilmore Girls
Thanks to Netflix, we will be able to take news of Lorelei (Lauren Graham) and Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel), since these are four special episodes of 90 minutes, for the four seasons of the year, that the VOD platform will unveil on November 25 ! Ready for your return to Stars Hollow?
