The streaming platform Netflix will offer in a few months a documentary series on the famous fire that ravaged Notre-Dame de Paris.  On April 15, 2019, everyone remembers what they were doing when we learned that Notre-Dame de Paris was engulfed in flames from a terrible fire. More than a year after this tragic event, we learn according to the magazine " Le Film Français " that a mini-series of 6 episodes of one hour, devoted to the fire of the cathedral is in development and will be offered on Netflix. This documentary series will be co-written by Hervé Hadmar, to whom we owe Romance most recently on France 2, or Pigalle, la nuit, and Olivier Bocquet. To carry out this project, Netflix will work in collaboration with the Paris Fire Brigade and journalist Romain Gubert, co-author of "La Nuit à Notre Dame".It is described as "a choral narrative that explores the impact of this fire on different characters across the France. " We owe to one of the producers, Julien Madon, the film Save or Perish with Pierre Niney, a dive into the world of firefighters. Unlike Americans, it is rather unusual for France to bounce quickly on current events in fiction. en poussant la porte Netflix: a series on the fire of Notre-Dame de Paris in preparation

Pathé and Vendôme are also developing a six-episode mini-series based on a New York Times article that revealed the problems of managing the fire crisis. This project will be in the same style as Chernobyl on HBO. We will have to wait until 2021 to discover it. No French or foreign channel is currently attached to it. Finally, French director Jacques Annaud is preparing a feature film entitled Notre Dame en feu. A film mixing fiction and archival footage of the fire to retrace the precise course of events. This project is ambitious, as the filmmaker plans to shoot in the cathedral of Amiens and recreate sets for the fire scenes. Filming for the film could start in September and the release would be scheduled for fall 2021.
