New series for the VOD platform Netflix, which never stops placing orders! Seven Seconds, by the creator of The Killing US version, should take us into the meanders of a unit specialized in drug trafficking…
Netflix is THE broadcaster of the moment! While The Crown and Gilmore Girls are expected, the VOD platform orders Seven Seconds, by the creator of the American version of The Killing, Veen Sud. Based on the Russian film The Major, released in 2013, the series will focus on Mike DiAngelo, a cop from Jersey City, who runs a unit specializing in drug trafficking. It focuses on a standoff between Jersey City cops and the city's African-American community after a black teenager was seriously injured by a police officer.
To interpret the leading role, it is the Australian actor David Lyons, who played Sebastian Monroe in Revolution (who has just been released from his commitment on the series Game of Silence following its cancellation) who has just been chosen. Beau Knapp, who was seen in The Nice Guys, will be his teammate.
The first season of the series is expected to have 10 episodes, but no air date has yet been announced.
