As last year Just Focus was at the Télérama Dub Festival, organized on the docks of Paris on November 24, for a program of the most stunning. Back on this Parisian evening rocked to the sounds of raggamuffin bass.

Main Hall: the only real place where the show took place

In addition to Mungo's Hifi which provided the heat on Sinai Hall, the show this year was concentrated on Main Hall, the festival's main hall. Here were very heterogeneous artists, all rocked in one way or another by the dub. The big surprise was of course Horace Andy. This old Rasta was born in 1951 in Jamaica, and remains one of the last representatives of old-fashioned roots, reggae as it was born. Well known to aficionados, it brought a warm and pleasant wind into the Parisian winter. With a lively and relatively cheerful style he warmed up the stage for the youth who will follow him all evening with a crazy class and talent. Once again, respect Horace Andy!

This was probably followed by the most anticipated artist of the evening: Biga Ranx. His real name is Gabriel Piotrowski, he became known in 2011 with his first album: One Time, then in 2013 with Good Morning Midnight. Since then, two other albums have also been released: Nightbird and 1988 in reference to his year of birth. Biga has a very particular style that combines a Dub sound and an amazing ragga voice. That evening he was accompanied by his brother Atili Bandalero with whom he set fire on stage. A perfect concert where he mainly played the set of his very good last album with songs like My Face or Petit Boze. This did not prevent him from playing songs in collaboration with other artists like Push the Limits with L'Entourloop. In short, a perfectly executed concert that ended with the superb Liquid Sunshine.

Then Chill Bump and On Dub Ground landed with a brand new album recorded especially for this evening of Télérama Dub. An unexpected mix between rap and dub via an association of talented artists. Chill Bump ensures the rap side and if not their recent Going Nowhere, they focused on their new music made in partnership with On Dub Ground. A brand new album released a few weeks ago and which demonstrates once again the proximity between rap and reggae. A blend that works perfectly. ODG also played a few rare tracks of their own creation, without the accompaniment of Miscellaneous, the singer of Chill Bump. ODG we have therefore rewarded with the excellent Deep Frequency with the absent Panda Dub.

The evening ended with O.B.F accompanied by singer Charlie P. Original Bass Foundation is a European crew dominated by sound systems with powerful bass. A hell of a peach to accompany the last spectators until the closing of the festival on the strokes of 5am. Tired, the last brave were awakened by the rhythm of the group and the kick of Charlie P. The crew played their most famous sounds like Sixteen Tons of Pressure, System Ruff or on the excellent Rub a Dub Mood. In short, a conclusion at the height of the rest of the evening, which makes us want to come back next year.
