A comic strip for children not so childish
Beyond its cute drawings and endearing characters, The Mystery of the Spellcaster addresses adult themes, such as slavery or school bullying. With children's words, the authors translate complex and difficult situations while remaining accessible to the youngest. Focusing on feelings, they raise awareness and explain while keeping a funny and light tone. Thus the broom in love is ready to do anything to save his beloved neighbor broom from a tyrant who oppresses and exhausts him to the task.
Harassment in the Land of Witches
School bullying is the main theme of this first volume. It is Miette, the little sister of our heroine Harmonie, who is the victim. Because it is not good not to have magical powers yet when you are a witch. Little Miette does not yet know how to use magic and is mistreated by three of her comrades because of this difference. They even chase her outside of class to make fun of her and play nasty tricks on her. But it is the turn of the three ugly little witches to be the victims of powerful spells whose source no one in the village can find!
A beautiful story full of affection
Fortunately for Miette, she is far from alone in standing up to the ugly witches. Although she is exhausted by her investigation to find out who casts spells every night, her sister Harmony is always there to support her, defend her and restore her confidence. Not to mention his caring but strict mom, her dragon and their magic broom! As for the father of Miette et Harmonie, he is the best in the world. Despite his job of inventing lots of new magic formulas and forcing him to stay awake a good part of the night, he always finds time to take care of his little family and reassure Miette. With all this love, Miette is best equipped to stand up to those who wish her harm.
Between transformations and nocturnal adventures, the investigation of the witch Harmony to unmask the mysterious spellcaster will delight young and old!
