Originally scheduled for June 12, Pop Smoke fans will have to wait a few more weeks before being able to listen to his posthumous album. Indeed, the project of the rapper from New York will be released on July 3.  This postponement is obviously due to the current very difficult context. Between the health crisis linked to the coronavirus and the popular uprising around the Black Lives Matter movement that has taken on a global scale, his team decided to respect by giving him all the media space.

"Music is the tool of revolution. We have seen the music of Pop become the soundtrack of the moment, unifying the masses. Given recent events, we decided to delay the release of his album out of respect for the movement." Steven Victor – Director of Universal Music Group

For the most impatient, a first single entitled Make It Rain featuring Rowdy Rebel was released this Friday, June 12.
