After a first night that did not disappoint, the MaMa Event festival continued to vibrate Paris with a Thursday full of excitement.

For this new edition, the MaMa Festival is spread over three days, with a rich and quality program, and especially even more audience for a festival at the height.

Delv!s

The introduction of this second evening was made with fanfare! Bring back the funk could be the request, Delv!s would be the answer.

The Belgian signed on the Because label (Justice, Christine and the Queens) won La Boule Noire in less than an hour. The atmosphere at its peak, funk, soul, here is the new revelation of the year. Accompanied by 7 musicians who send, it is difficult to leave the hall as the concert is crazy!

Safia Nolin

In attentive silence, Safia Nolin confronts, alone on stage, the audience of Les Trois Baudets. Armed with her guitar and a lot of sarcasm, she embodies the harsh reality of life with a touch of nonchalance and offbeat humor.

Safia Nolin

Simple folk music but a very well written repertoire of songs. This Quebec singer (yes they came in force this year) managed to convince an entire room with touching and relevant lyrics.

Malik Djoudi

Since this summer Malik Djoudi is everywhere! It is with his synthpop that he conquered the audience of the Bus Palladium: on stage he gives depth to his songs, which extend over long minutes. From it was so good, to the famous cover of Kim Wilde (Cambodia) Malik carries us with his throbbing synth notes and his voice that goes into the treble, the boundaries are blurred. The show is closed by Sous Garantie. Let yourself be enchanted!

Geoffroy

After several attempts in different crowded rooms and where the queue stretches for several meters, direction the Carmen where the very charming Geoffroy, Canadian quite funny awaits us for an intimate and rather aerial cession.

If the public is shy, the young artist does not let himself be intimidated and transports us with the titles from Coastline, his first album released this year. Before returning to the land of the cold, Geoffroy warms up the atmosphere with synth bass and a warm voice to the point.

Sarah McCoy

Ecstatic at the idea of going back to school, here we are at Jacques Delcours High School where the singer Dani delights an entire room. But for us, it will be Sarah McCoy, whose voice and character intrigues us. With a very theatrical entrance on stage, a costume both scary and unspeakable, the singer sometimes punk, gothic, blues and soul transports us into a universe on the margins. Still, the performance is breathtaking.

With a powerful voice, full of soul and a devastating humor, Sarah McCoy is a new favorite and the thrills are guaranteed.

Blow

While the evening is well underway, here comes the time to get to the heart of the matter with something to hover in an auditory way. The little Poitevins, who heat the Machine are there and it is Blow. With their electro rhythms, we have the impression of taking acid waves that make us feel good.

Impossible to resist the hallucinating bass and the sensual voice of Quentin the singer. But while the audience is limited in trans for some, everything must stop before the encore, lack of time to close this successful set. We can't wait to see them on stage again and vibrate with them again!

Killason

It was at Bactstage by The Mill that Killason met his audience. I say his audience because the front rows are already largely acquired by him when he goes on stage. A flow that slams like a whip and an ultra groovy attitude, the singer occupies the entire space and leads in two pieces the whole room already heated to white.

His hip-hop flows like an obvious in our ears and takes hold of our legs. Impossible to resist this wave and these powerful beats.

An incredible and communicative energy. We're asking for more!

Pi Ja Ma

You necessarily know his flagship EP Radio Girl, acidulous indie pop title sixties, the rest of his repertoire leaves more dreamy, in the vein of the Velvet Underground such as By the River. Pauline is a talented and bubbly girl. After a brief stint at the Star Académy (2014) she embarked on singing, directed her home videos and drew (her other passion). Mutine, she says she owes a lot to this room of the Bus Palladium because her parents met there, and it does not make you any younger [sic].

Pack

If there was a concert not to be missed tonight, it was that of Pack!
And you had to arrive early so you wouldn't miss a beat. Already applauded as they finish their scales on the stage of the Machine du Moulin Rouge, the audience burns with impatience to see enter the track this German fanfare group that does not have a serious reputation by covering electro tubes in the streets of Hamburg.

Effective set and powerful sound! The crowd is delirious and the atmosphere is impressive: it dances, it jumps everywhere, it's total euphoria! The brass are unleashed in frenzied solos that captivate and when the concert comes to an end it is the total disappointment: WE WANT MORE!

We thought it was an encore, but the MaMA is not over, so it will be for next time! We come out completely swimming but so happy. Thank you!

This Thursday at MaMA was much more crowded than the previous day and we realize that the festival has really taken its marks in the Parisian calendar. It is becoming a must-attend event for discerning music lovers who want to discover good sound. We look forward to tomorrow!
