This Tuesday, May 26, Indochine announced good news during a live for Quotidien. Indochine is a group born in May 1981. It's been almost 40 years since this group allowed us to dance on the dance floors. Let's go back to these singers known around the France.

Indochina: 40 years of adventure

First of all, remember that it was originally a duo composed of Dominique Nicolas and Nicola Sirkis , barely 20 years old, who were part of the group Les Espions. In September 1981, Dimitri Bodianski and Stéphane Sirkis (Nicola's twin brother) were added to the group . They recorded their first song the same year: Dizzidence Politik. In the process, they release Françoise Qu'est-ce qui t'as pris ? During the summer of 1983, it is a national hit with their hit L'Aventurier which became a timeless. Even today, it is listened to in all evenings, all generations combined! This success will allow them, over the years, to follow on a complete Olympia, a Paris-Bercy on fire and even a Stade de France filled in 2010. A rock band that is not ready to disappear and that comes back to us in force with a tour announcement, a single and a double-compilation for their fortieth anniversary!

A tour for 2021

The first piece of good news is the announcement of a tour called Central Tour that will take place as early as May 2021. This name is a reference to the layout of the stage that will be located in the center of the hall for each concert.

The dates have been announced, the opening of the ticket office will be from September 29, 2020:

  • Bordeaux (Saturday 29 May 2021 – Matmut Atlantique)
  • Marseille (Saturday 5 June 2021 – Orange Vélodrome)
  • Paris (Saturday, June 19, 2021 – Stade de France)
  • Lyon (Saturday 26 June 2021 – Groupama Stadium)
  • Lille (Saturday 3 July 2021 – Stade Pierre Mauroy)

The group has also provided free places for heroes who are on the front line of Covid-19 (firefighters, caregivers, garbage collectors, etc.).

Our Celebrations

A new single was unveiled on Yann Barthès' Quotidien live on May 26, 2020. The name of the song is Our Celebrations. It will surely be on the program of the concerts and why not at the opening of the show?

An unreleased compilation and a planned film

Finally, last good news: two collector's albums will arrive on August 28 and November 27, 2020. One will bring together tracks released between 1981 and 2001, and the other between 2001 and today. That's not all since a film is also in preparation. He should tell us the history of the group with unpublished archives. The group spoke about the release date: "This is a film that we hope to present around September 29, 2021." An anniversary that seems to reserve us many surprises and an explosion of musical flavors as we like them!
