Released in February 2015, the German-Australian animated film The Great Adventure of Maya the Bee had conquered more than a million curious people in France. And good news: children's favorite bee is back!
In theaters on July 18
It's now official, the little character striped in black and yellow returns with his friends on the big French screens in a new adventure. Directed by Noël Cleary, Alexs Stadermann and Sergio Delfino, this second part will once again reveal the playfulness of the pretty Maya. Indeed, in this new film, the young bee will have to participate in the Great Honey Games to try to save all the honey from her hive. It will be imperative for her to be victorious, otherwise she will have to give up all her sweet treasure to the Empress of the bees. With the help of her best friends, they will have to surpass themselves together to defeat the opposing team, led by the mischievous and bad player Violette.
In the first film, the French dubbing of Maya was provided by the singer Jenifer, while Christophe Maé lent his voice to Flip the grasshopper. If the singer has not yet formalized his commitment for this second part, Jenifer is looking forward to joining the dubbing studios and shares it on her web pages:
"We're making a new film!!! It's back to a new adventure with Maya 🐝."
Who says second part, says new characters. The Violet bee will make its appearance. Maya's opponent will be voiced by Lou, the young singer discovered in The Voice Kids (who was also in Jenifer's team, editor's note), and known for her role in the series Tomorrow Belongs to Us.
This new film, more precisely called Maya the Bee 2: The Honey Games, will be released in theaters on July 18, 2018. In the meantime, discover a short enticing first video:
