Any animation enthusiast knows that Pixar has been the undisputed master of this environment across the Atlantic for several years now. Dreamworks, their main competitor, has distinguished itself with solid franchises such as the excellent Dragons which has delivered us two first parts that rank among the best animated films of recent years. Dragons 3, eagerly awaited by the editorial staff has just been pushed once again on the agenda of the firm.

Generally, this kind of news does not bode well for a feature film. Just look at the cases of Pacific Rim 2 and many others. The case of How to Train Your Dragon is however different because the product was a real critical and public success for the animation studio. Besides the first two volumes, there is also an animated series that has been released on Netflix and many merchandising. Dragons 3 has therefore been set for March 1, 2019. It will be released a week before the first Marvel feature film dedicated to a female heroine, Captain Marvel with Brie Larson.

What can we expect from Dragons 3? In an interview with Collider, Dean Deblois revealed some exclusive information about the film that will be a highlight in the franchise. The story of Harold and Krokmou should take on a new dimension by addressing relevant themes as you can see in this video.
