Johnny Depp can now say goodbye to the famous costume of Jack Sparrow: Disney has decided to separate from the American actor for the sixth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean.

"Jack Sparrow will be his legacy"

No more tight red headband, knotted padlocks and other unstoppable details that made the renowned pirate Jack Sparrow, a cult character in the ranks of Disney. According to Daily Mail, Johnny Depp has officially been removed from the new installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean saga. The cases of money, alcohol, as well as the accusations of domestic violence brought by his ex-partner Amber Heard, seem to be the main causes of this eviction. The latter would also be due to the insufficient revenue collected at the release of Salazar's Revenge, the fifth episode of the saga, and the unenthusiastic enthusiasm of the spectators, who were not up to Disney's expectations.

It was Stuart Beattie, one of the writers of the first film The Curse of the Black Pearl, who brought this confirmation:

"I think Jack Sparrow will be his legacy. He's the only character he's played five times, he's the character he dresses in to visit children in hospitals, that's why he will be remembered," he said.

After fourteen years of collaboration between Disney and the actor, the party is well and truly over. But for this new impetus, American society is redoubling its efforts: the sixth part will build its story in a similar universe, but will be developed around new characters. Will be at the helm of this film thought as a reboot the screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernic, a tandem notably at the origin of the scenarios of the two Deadpool

Let's hope that Disney does not regret Jack Sparrow on the screens of Pirates of the Caribbean 6, and that this choice will still seduce fans of the saga.
