Deep Silver and 4A Games announce that Metro Exodus will be released in the first quarter of 2019. To wait, the publisher gives appointment to players at E3 2018.
It will not be this year that you will be able to face the post-apocalyptic ravages! Indeed, the publisher specifies that if the development of Metro Exodus is progressing relatively well, it is keen to regularly check the progress of the game while keeping an eye on the competition. Too often, we forget that a good game can fall by the wayside if it is released at the same time as another game with high popularity.
For reasons of optimization and ambition, Deep Silver plans to release its title in 2019. And to compensate for the disappointment, a new gameplay sequence in a new environment will be presented at E3 2018.
For those who are not familiar with the FPS Metro series (inspired by the novels of Dmitry Glukhovsky), know that Metro Exodus takes place in 2036. The earth was devastated by a nuclear war, pushing the survivors to live under Moscow, in the Metro tunnels. Their lives are not easy: pollution, mutants and civil wars are their daily lives. Metro Exodus will feature storytelling, exploration, infiltration, combat and of course survival horror.

- A journey into the unknown : aboard the Aurora, a custom steam locomotive, you team up with a few survivors to establish a new life in the East
- XXL survival: the story at the center of the game will link the original gameplay of the Metro saga and huge new areas to travel
- A dangerous universe : the wilderness of a post-apocalyptic Russia is available to you, all with dynamic weather and a day / night cycle
- Combat under tension: weapons will be customizable thanks to items gleaned from the field, they will be essential to gain the upper hand over other humans and mutants in tactical combat
- Your choices, lives at stake: your comrades will not all come out of this adventure alive. Your decisions will have consequences and allow for some replayability
