We are eagerly awaiting the release of Attack on Titan season 2 (Shingeki no Kyojin season 2). For a long time it was thought that 2016 would be the year of deliverance. But the animation studio in charge, Wit studio, announced season 2 for April 2017.
Anyway, Attack on Titan was the big revelation of 2013, and there are still many lessons to be learned. Here we make a small list of phrases and values that must be kept in mind until season two.
1) Titans don't die when their heads explode

Titans are not like humans or even zombies. Aiming for the head would not do much good, except to slow them down, since their elements grow back. The author of the manga, Hajime Isayama, imagined a very specific space to reach these monsters. It is at the bottom of the neck that we will find their sensitive point.
The young soldiers learn this very quickly along with other information about the titans. Some certainties will also evolve with history.
2) You can't win without fighting. Mikasa Ackerman

While Mikasa has just learned of Eren's death, the city's HQ is attacked by Titans. She decides to confront them against the general advice of the other young soldiers, paralyzed by this first mission. Always in a calm that we know her well, she drops this simple sentence before embarking on the battle.A strength and confidence, apparently, that will ultimately act on the other soldiers. Not that she's one of our most charismatic top female characters.
Note that this sentence is valid throughout the manga. Titans attack humans both in numbers and in a targeted manner. Despite the walls, not trying anything is death assured.
3) The Titans are not our only enemies – Eren Jäger

Eren utters this sentence after meeting a very wise character, Commander Pixis. It was he who saved Eren from military execution and made the decision to use his unstable powers for the human cause. This experienced figure knew that this mission would have political consequences and that ranks would have to be closed. In particular, we will see some effects of this discord during Eren's trial.
Also, Pixis explains to him how, according to a legend, men killed each other before the appearance of the titans. An image that vaguely reminds us of our own world.

Now is the time for our young heroes to choose their assignment as soldiers. If many hope to find themselves in the city center in the special brigades (the least dangerous), this is not the case of Armin. To stay with his childhood friend Eren, he decides to join the exploration battalions.
The three-dimensional equipment is not very effective on the plains, so we can really talk about sacrifice. Outside the walls, soldiers are far more vulnerable, even at the mercy of the Titans. In 4 years, the exploration battalion has lost 60% of its personnel.
5) I will slaughter you! – Eren Jäger
Attack on Titan Episode 24
This isn't the first time Eren has talked about exterminating all the Titans. It is even a constant since the beginning of the manga.On the other hand, we see this time a real hope of winning against them. First because Eren manages to free himself from a psychological block that prevented him from transforming into a Titan. Then, because he manages to beat a character as powerful as the female Titan (Annie Leonhart).
A monstrous will that makes him evolve in his titanic state in addition to his loyalty that brings him the support of his comrades of the exploration battalions.
It's a safe bet that these elements will remain in the storyline landscape of Attack of the Tttans 2. This is an important component of the manga, namely the charisma of the characters.
