In a show full of freshness, colors and bursts of laughter, the young ladies of K-Barré make us swirl in their burlesque and theatrical universe!
I have to tell you, I'm not, basically, necessarily the biggest fan of burlesque. I often do not find much interest in it, and I quickly get tired of it. My curiosity was however piqued by the presentation of these crazy ladies, and I was not disappointed by the discovery.
The show they provide us is rich in so many elements that make us spend a good evening: sensuality and simplicity, humor and theater, glitter of all kinds… One has a hip to make Nicki Minaj pale with envy, the other a genius of false clumsiness very well controlled, and all in sensuality, another still brings his touch of comedy and his beautiful voice … And we haven't done the tour yet!
Glamour is present, almost always followed by a touch of fantasy. If some humorous strings can sometimes be a bit big, it does not hinder the progression of the show, nor the bursts of frank laughter on multiple occasions. We come out with a lot of glitter on our heads in our eyes, and in our turn start to stir the buttocks (after all it is not for nothing that he is also called "the waltzer").
Not content to have served us on such a pleasant time, the Demoiselles put the cover back by providing after-sales service: who wants to go for a drink with the troupe after the performance! For my part, it allowed me to have the opportunity and the chance to exchange with the charming Poupoupidou, actress and director of the troupe.
Poupoupidou is the conductor of this small world. It is she who writes the numbers, for which she thinks not only glamour and comedy, but also woman, feminism, empowerment. The numbers often evolve, according to the feedback of the spectators: the game is indeed also done with the public. For her, burlesque allows her to liberate herself; And since she is convinced of it and does it well, she shares it and offers workshops. If when you go out you feel like you are growing wings, you know what you have to do!
So run to see them at the Théâtre des Blancs Manteaux! I think it won't be long before I go back…
