Blade Runner 2049, Denis Villeneuve's sequel to Ridley Scott's 1982 classic, has unveiled its first trailer.
Denis Villeneuve , who passed his baptism of fire for his immersion in science fiction with First Contact, uses his talents again for Blade Runner 2049, his next film.
Reassuring first images, a metallic aesthetic, sanitized, cold and futuristic, in lights and colors similar to the first film. Denis Villeneuve seems to stage a world in perdition, even post-apocalyptic through transcendent shots, of a visual beauty of his own. We see Ryan Gosling, hero of the film but also Harrison Ford, back in another of his cult roles after Indiana Jones and Han Solo.
The events take place in 2049, thirty years after the first opus. Ryan Gosling plays Officer K, a new blade runner who investigates a case that requires the help of Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former blade runner who has been missing since the end of the first film.
Blade Runner 2049 is produced by Harrison Ford, written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green and is also worn by Robin Wright and Jared Leto (the Joker in Suicide Squad). It was rumored that Ridley Scott would have shot the end of the film, claiming that the director's cut belongs to him. Anyway Blade Runne 2049 is expected on October 4, 2017 in our theaters.
