The Parisian duo Bel Plaine will be in concert on September 20 at La Boule Noire to present the EP, Lifeboat. A very fresh project!
Bel Plaine was born from Antoine and Morgan meeting five years ago at a party. Both come from different backgrounds and have already had the opportunity to carry out musical projects in other formations in Burgundy and Angers. It was in Paris that they discovered a common passion for music. Together, they decide to shape their songs.
In 2013, they received the Paris Jeunes Talents prize and quickly began touring to make themselves known, before entering the studio to record with Julien Delfaud (Phoenix, Woodkid, Gaetan Roussel).

Their music is a rhythmic, dynamic and enthusiastic pop-folk. The two titles that we have been able to discover are catchy and remain in the lead. Their two voices agree with a blatant evidence and their light melodies have all the freshness of future hits. Bel Plaine gives us desires for travel and freedom, crazy races after life! We feel a very strong desire for storytelling in these two young men.
Each has its own specificity: Morgan deals mainly with the texts and Antoine more with the music; Despite a very different background, they find themselves in creation, a field of cohesion and perfect harmony. Among their influences, we find Neil Young or the Local Natives, but also Phoenix, Woodik, Revolver. We feel that they are in the continuity of the French Touch and it is undeniable that there is their place.

Lifeboat, their last track, is very unifying. Sung in English and French, we feel a desire to touch with great simplicity and sincerity. And it works! We let ourselves be caught up in their first EP, released last June with disconcerting ease.
