"Improvisation is others". An innovative improvisation show to discover…

Pigalle… Pigalle, ancestral district of the city of Paris. We know his little women, his shops in which we sell love at low prices. But perhaps less some of its dark rooms in which pieces of life are played sometimes comical, sometimes dramatic, sometimes a little of both.
Huis presque clos Improvisation show: Almost closed doorsAt the ten-o'clock theatre, the play "Huis presque clos" is no exception. But it still contains a certain peculiarity: you will never be able to see it twice. Yes, it is improvisation, but be careful not just any.

Because this improvisation show contains the performance to last 1 hour, non-stop!

Thus, no mini sketch or succession of characters, as we are used to see with improvisation. The set, with the help of the audience, is set at the very beginning of the play and then: "alea jacta est". Unity of place, unity of time and unity of characters. The exercise is not easy, because the characteristic of improvisation is often a quick outcome, occurring after a few minutes.

Improv show

So, how do the four actors behind closed doors manage in this bet? They are doing well. Very good even. That evening, the story takes place in a speed dating, a place in which precisely characters and situations are supposed to be linked. And despite this, the 4 protagonists who are born before our eyes find their own development. The result: an evening of endearing losers (with a special mention for Roland, the office colleague whose clumsiness borders on pathology).

At times, we forget that it is improvisation: we are in front of a very good comedy, multiplying the twists and moments of brilliance.

And precisely, the performance is there: make us forget that nothing is written and take us to a stranger devilishly funny. This is how Huis almost closed (almost because maybe the characters can "almost" escape their destinies for a few moments?) Triture the codes of improvisation, and it does a lot of good.

Thus, the play is performed at the theater of ten o'clock, 36 boulevard de Clichy, every Wednesday at 21:30.
