5 Tips not to screw up your Manicure

Many girls tell me that they can't do their manicure themselves, and that they always end up doing damage with freshly applied nail polish.
So here are some tips from a "hands" model to follow so that this does not happen to you again.

    1 – Prepare the ground

In order to perform a manicure in the best conditions,  it is prepared.

Before starting, we put all the material you may need on the table, i.e. the file, varnish, solvent, etc. And before applying the varnish, cotton is rolled at the end of a boxwood stick to clean the edges of the nail. Make sure you don't need to open a drawer because you're missing something. We do not forget to tie our hair. We also think about going to pee before applying the first coat of varnish. Prefer to wear leggings rather than jeans that you will have to unbutton in case of emergency.

    2 – Isolate yourself

Alone, we risk doing less damage than several. So  wemake sure to be alone during this moment that we offer ourselves to take care of ourselves. Neither cat, nor child, nor even darling because we would be tempted to pass our hand in his hair, with a varnish not yet dry (and it would necessarily be his fault).

    3 – Forgetting your phone

Leave your phone aside, or you'll be too tempted to look at Instagram's news feed. Worse if you receive a call, you will not resist the urge to answer it, and there, by bringing the device close to your ear, the not dry varnish will cling to your hair, and it's missed. Leave it in another room, and prepare an episode of your current series to watch on your tablet or computer.

    4 – Plan time

Contrary to popular belief,  do not chain the layers of varnish one after the other. Beauticians do this in salons because they need to get rid of you as quickly as possible in order to take care of another client. Think that when you repaint the walls of your home, you have to wait 24 hours between the two layers. With varnish, it's almost the same. Between the base, the 1st layer of varnish, the 2nd  coat, and thetop coat, it is necessary to wait at each stage that the previous one is completely dry. Otherwise, the bottom layers do not have time to dry properly, and your varnish will deteriorate much faster.

The less pigment there is, the faster the varnish dries. That's why beige bases and varnishes dry faster.

Tip:  To know if your varnish is dry, simply gently touch your 2 inches. If there is a slight adhesion, it is because it is not dry. If there is no grip, then you no longer need to wait.

5 – Do your manicure in 2 steps

Many of us do our manicure at the end of the day, once we finally find some time to ourselves. Unfortunately, we all end up with the trace of sheets on our nails when we wake up…In order not to repeat this mistake for the umpteenth time, do your manicure in 2 steps. That is to say, do the whole care in the evening, and lay the base plus the1st layer of varnish. It is only the next morning that you apply the second coat, then the top coat.

Otherwise, if you are afraid of running out of time the next morning, apply the1st and2nd coat in the evening, and apply the top coat the next morning. Alone, the top coat dries in just a few minutes, and thus, it will erase the traces of sheet.
