Digital Extremes, developer and publisher, partners with Top Cow to create a comic book series in the Warframe universe! Exclusively, discover the cover and the first pages of the Warframe comic book!
While TennoCon 2017 , for its second edition, is fast approaching. Digital Extremes announces the enrichment of the universe of its TPS multi Warframe with the arrival of comics. In partnership with the game's development team, the series will be written by Top Cow CEO Matt Hawkins and writer (Think Tank, The Tithe, Aphrodite IX), and Ryan Cady, editor at Top Cow. An exclusive edition of the first volume will be given free of charge to all TennoCon 2017 attendees on Saturday, July 8.
The series will be available in 5 volumes and will deepen the Warframe universe with new characters and environments. All scripted around the heroes well known to the fans. The story will follow a solitary warframe named Excalibur, determined to protect a blind girl, the sole survivor of a destroyed village on Earth. The comics will be an opportunity to distill clues about future updates to the Warframe game.

Digital Extremes was looking for an experienced publisher, able to transcribe the science fiction universe of its game. It is only logical that the choice of Top Cow was imposed with its 25 years of experience and iconic series like Witchblade and The Darkness. Digital Extremes had previously worked with Top Cow on older comics related to games like Dark Sector and The Darkness 2.

Matt Hawkins will be present at TennoCon for a conference entitled "Making of the first Warframe comic book". For upcoming Top Cow conventions including San Diego Comic-Con and New York Comic-Con, attendees may have the chance to leave with a copy by approaching the Top Cow booth.
The Warframe comics will be available in October 2017.
