Indeed, François Descraques announced it on his various networks: the film The Visitor of the Future is coming. And it is a huge step that the French Internet has just made. After being broadcast on Dailymotion and then on France 4, the series changes media again and tackles, with an unfailing will, the big screen.

For those who do not know it or who have never seen it, The Visitor of the Future is a web-series by François Descraques created almost 10 years ago (2009 to be precise)! It tells the story of Raph, a somewhat lazy young man who sees his daily life turned upside down by the repeated appearance of a man claiming to come from the future. After having forged an unusual link with this time traveler, they will live crazy adventures between the timelines … If you don't know this web series and you don't know what to do, look at it immediately. Brilliantly written and directed with top actors, it's an unmissable discovery! Nevertheless, no need to worry for those who would not be initiated since François Descraques announced that this film would be as well adapted to neophytes as to the most connoisseurs.
Why is this film good news?
While we had abandoned the series in 2014 at the end of season 4, here it is back. But according to its director, this adaptation was a long-standing project that was close to his heart:
"This is a project that I have been working on in secret for 4 years now. At the end of season 4, there was talk of writing a film about The Visitor of the Future. But I knew it was going to be quite a challenge. "
A challenge that could surprise the French film landscape because few videographers are risky to produce a feature film. We can think of Inthepanda and his documentary Genre c'est du cinéma or Benzaie with his film Hard-corner. But this time, everything looks different. Everything seems different because this adaptation seems to be adapted for the big screens of cinemas. Produced by Pyramide Productions and with the same cast, this film is a chance for videographers, screenwriters and directors of the Internet. With this production, François Descraques proves that everything is possible with an iron will. A desire that allowed him to write 3ème droite, a horror and science fiction book, released on October 3rd.
This project is therefore an opportunity and a godsend. This adaptation will undoubtedly be a success (at least we hope so) and could open the door to other videographers for adaptations on the big screen. Perhaps this adaptation will also change the French film industry, which will leave room for ambitious young youtubers.
